Hello, my relatives, I am Venezuelan by birth and precisely born in Caracas where I lived my childhood. I am also an American (USA) / Italian citizen. In the US I lived my youth and now, in Italy, my life as an adult which continues on its path. My Faith is Christian Catholic. My mother is Italian and her family of Genovese / Neapolitan origin. My father was also an Italian and his family of Neapolitan origin. Going through my youth, on my jurney path have encountered a millenary culture that has poured into my unripe heart the knowledge of a profound respect for all that exists and surrounds us and, since then, I Treasure it. Today I feel the desire to share those things that my heart has learned and is still learning today. I do not intend to give lessons to anyone, because I am not up to it, I only want to offer you, my readers, my humble contribution to this Ancient Culture. I will talk about values and a way of life firmly rooted in many Nations who, in turn, treasure their traditions and prayers.Whose main and unifying purpose is to walk in balance and harmony in the circle of life, between Heaven and Earth, feeding on wisdom, peace, strength and courage. A "Great People" scattered in so many nations - First Nations, American Indians, Native Americans - however you want to call them. An Ancient, Proud, and Courageous People who have been able to defend their own identity and history up to the present day, despite the genocide and innumerable obstacles, so often insurmountable, that they have had to face. A wise and judicious People composed of true "Masters of Hope" who do not want to fall into oblivion. A People to Emulate but, without the presumption of believing that we can become like them in the course of our life or on a daily basis, if we come from different cultures. Becoming an American Indian is not possible for those who were not born American Indians! Instead, having an American Indian "Heart" is possible, if and only if, we let dwell in our hearts a profound respect for all that exists and surrounds us. Only then we will be free to truly understand what "Mitakuye Oyasin" means. Thanks for your interest.
