The purpose of this website is to offer a small contribution to the culture of Native Americans from a personal experience and respectfully honor an interaction with the people and tradition of the first nations and American Indians and with all those who whish to know this great civilization. A.I. A little bit of history; I was born in Caracas and emigrated to the USA as a boy to complete my studies and graduate chemistry with a double minor in mathematics and biology, then specializing in organic chemistry. I became manager for a multinational manufacturer of medical devices and traveled around the world in the United States, Latin America, Asia and Europe. During 28 years of working and living in the US, I had the honor of knowing American Indians and attended some of their Powwows. Both my curiosity and my questions have always been answered by them with a smile, and thanks to Heaven they have smiled me a lot. During the long moments I spent with them I observed and learned many things that over time I have assimilated more and more. From their everyday life I was able to perceive the great love they had for the family and the community, for the children and the elderly. An ever present spirituality. A great respect for everyone and for everything that exists. I realized that they preserve their past and many of their traditions (because many others have been lost) with tenacity. The more I research on them, the more my memories come back to mind as examples that are always alive. The little I know about them today has been fed with other small pices of knowledge here and there. And I want to comunicate and to share that, despite having suffered so many injustices even in the present time, I am convinced that they are determined to exist! They have strengthened my parents' teachings by helping me be myself because, no matter what our beliefs are, if we know ourselves we can share many things with their culture and discover that we also have an American Indian heart. I decided to undertake this adventure on the web because I perceive that the society in which I live is in a profound existential crisis or worse still of identity. Too many people are looking for something that gives meaning to their lives and the fundamental values of a not so distant past are not even taken into consideration. I feel the desire to give this little contribution of mine, here on the web, recounting emotionally, as they would do with the heart, the message that has reached my heart, those realities about them many times misleading by others due to lack of understanding or, deliberately distorted that do not correspond to their truth. On the site you will find, analyzing their history, all I have learned about their traditions, their spirituality, their love and respect for the most important things both in the material and in the sacred sphere. I will tell you all this hoping that it will serve as a reflection and example for everyone from family to children, from the elderly to women, men and the community. This, I hope, would serve to help us bring to light the roots of our culture, of our past, of our being and finding ourselves again. In my humble opinion, only after we have rediscovered ourselves, exhumed our traditions and understood our history only then, we can find our true identity. After that, we can move into other cultures to add to our identity those details that enrich life. And the example of culture that I recommend is that of the American Indians. You'll see in it a safe guide!
